Property Disputes

Liverpool has seen a raft of Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO) over the last few years, while the city's regeneration moved at great pace. We have advised clients on a variety of these including Liverpool One, the Lime Street Gateway, Edge Lane and Bootle.

Over time this has helped us to build up close links with key public sector bodies, including the Home and Communities Agency (HCA), formerly English Partnerships and local authorities.

We also advise on landlord and tenant disputes, planning and land law issues in relation to developments including easements and restrictions controlling specific uses.

We attempt negotiated solutions in parallel with enforcement of legal rights and obligations.

It's really a question of agreeing with the client what can be achieved (business assets to be protected or recovered) having regard to the competing priorities of budget and timescales.

We offer advice in the following areas:

  • Landlord & Tenant Disputes

  • Planning Applications & Enforcement

  • Environmental Law

  • Transport & Haulage

  • Construction Contracts

  • Compulsory Purchase Orders

  • Contracts for Goods & Service

  • Company Disputes

  • Partnership Disputes

  • Intellectual Property Rights

  • Competition Law

  • Agency & Distribution Agreement

  • Defamation

  • Professional Negligence

  • Debt Recovery
